The group of artists “Drifters”, in collaboration with the artist Constanza Puente and the neuroscientist Dr.Anita Wagner, investigate the forces involved in the moment when the person makes him/herself available for the unknown. The project encourages speech imagery and uses the voices of participants for an intimate investigation that creates what we term “acoustic images”. They are verbal constructs that give account of personal states that we, the artists, elicit from an intimate dialogue with each participant to a very abstract inner state towards the anticipation of possibilities. The project, born in 2014, has been developing in collaboration with various communities, based on our intention to create a common experience that can be transmitted and shared orally.
